Cultural, Law, and Politic Teaching Section

  Teaching objectives
The academic fields of the teaching section are to allow students to possess art literacy of culture, law and politics, and historical studies. Besides professional regulations, academic subjects respond to the general education target of the University to expand students’ horizons beyond professional aspects for them to accommodate the diverse aspects of modern lives, and in turn, implement the ideal of all-around education, allowing students to make use of what they learned in professional activities and daily lives and become professionals and modern citizens who can accommodate, who have self-discipline, who are responsible and being able to think independently, and who possess accurate judging capacity.
  Teaching and Researching
The teaching for the academic fields of the teaching section primarily focuses on academic theories and specifications, relevant practice-oriented cases, and profound systematic introductions through simple examples. Furthermore, video and audio assistance were used to supplement in-class teaching and improve teaching effects. For the research aspect, the teaching section fully respects and cooperates with teachers regarding their personal expertise and research interests so as to create a liberal research environment. In recent years, teachers primarily focus on the comparative studies of relevant laws between Taiwan and China; together with the law studying institutions in other schools, teachers expand studies in fields of genetic technologies and laws, or integrates academic fields of culture, laws and politics, historical studies, and arts, so as to achieve the advanced development of teaching and studying through technological integration studies.
  Future Development
Subjects in the academic fields of the teaching section are regularly improved in terms of course content and teaching methods to comply with changes in the society and students’ demands, achieving the target of giving general education. Furthermore, the study integration among schools, within NTUNHS, and in the section are reinforced to improve research quality. For example, the professional law studies field aligns with professional law studies in departments of nursing, medicine management, childcare, sports and healthcare, travel and health, bodybuilding and biotech, and long-term care and responds to the requirements of the Information Management Department regarding intellectual property right regulations, Electronic Signatures Act, and cyberspace regulations. In the future, NTUNHS intends to apply for the establishment of technological law studies department; the plan is included in the mid-term development plan of NTUNHS.
