本課程將隨歷史的進程，以現代性的概念貫連二十世紀至今的藝術潮流發展，介紹現代與當代主要代表性藝術家與重要流派，內容包括繪畫、雕刻、音樂、舞蹈、電影、文學、建築等類型，呈現藝術發展的多元性、獨特性、變化性與創造性。同時解說: 觀察、想像、類比、辯証、批判、試驗與實作等方法於瞭解當代藝術之途徑；使學生藉由對東西方當代藝術的認識，探討藝術與生命、生活、產業、創造與社會認同等重要議題之意義。引導學生發展自我潛能的能力，具有跨領域的能力，培養尊重多元文化差異，以及關懷生命的情操。 |

This course formulated the communications and dialogues among modern/contemporary art, nature, individual and society as the major objectives. Selections of teaching materials are made mainly based on the possibility of seeking the exchange of forms of thinking, creation, aesthetic experience and the correlation of the main issues drawn from these seemingly different fields. The overall focuses include involving students by associating their daily experiences and developing their ability of critical thinking and aesthetic learning. |
